To get there...

From Dumfries take the A75, bypassing Castle Douglas, and take the A711 to Kirkcudbright.
Come into the town and at the first Church turn right onto the A755 signposted Gatehouse of Fleet.
Go past the Creamery then take the first left turn towards Borgue.
Travel almost 3 miles down this road, past the Seaward Caravan Site, through some bends, and as you go up the hill you will see a left turn marked 'Millhall'.
Turn left here, then take first left, then take the first driveway down the hill on your left, marked 'Burnfoot Cottage'...
